🔨 About Our Services

It means you get the kind of dependable, practical help that a great dad provides, whether that's fixing a leaky faucet, helping you build a budget, or just being a steady presence at a family event. Our professionals are vetted, insured, and genuinely care about making a difference.
We offer four core service categories: Home & DIY (repairs, assembly, maintenance), Life Skills Coaching (budgeting, cooking, auto basics), Family & Events (ceremonies, milestones, gatherings — or just hanging out), and Mentorship (personal, professional, or parenting guidance).
Yes! Family Dad and higher package members are assigned a dedicated Dad. Single session and Essential plan clients can request the same professional for future bookings, subject to availability.
Yes — Mentorship sessions can be conducted in-person or via video call. Life Skills Coaching can also be adapted to a remote format for certain topics like budgeting and career guidance.

💳 Pricing & Plans

Hourly rates start at $75/hr for Home & DIY, Life Skills, and Family & Events. Mentorship starts at $150/hr. Hour packages offer significant savings — see our pricing section for details.

Great question, and a fair one. The short answer: you're not just paying for someone's time, you're paying for a career's worth of hard-won knowledge.

Our mentors aren't generalists with good intentions. They're professionals who've spent decades building real expertise — whether in business, trades, parenting, career development, or life skills. Many hold formal certifications, advanced degrees, or industry credentials that took years and significant investment to earn. That depth is exactly what makes their guidance transformative rather than just conversational.

Mentorship also requires meaningful preparation and follow-through on our end. Before each session your mentor reviews your goals and background. After each session they document key takeaways, action items, and progress notes — so that every meeting builds on the last rather than starting from scratch. That documentation work happens behind the scenes, and it's what turns a good conversation into a real development plan with lasting impact.

Think of the difference between a handyman fixing your sink and a licensed engineer redesigning your home's infrastructure. Both are valuable — but the depth of expertise, preparation, and responsibility are different. Our mentors bring that same caliber of intentional, professional-grade guidance to your personal growth. We think that's worth it. And we think you will too.

Yes! Your purchased hours don't just disappear. We'll send you a friendly reminder notification if you have unused hours coming up so nothing slips through the cracks. If you're not able to schedule in time, just reach out and we'll work with you to find a solution.
No hidden fees. The only additional charges are: a 10% last-minute booking fee for appointments scheduled within 24 hours, and a cancellation fee (2 hours of service rate) for cancellations within 12 hours. See our full cancellation policy for details.
Service rates cover labor only. If a Home & DIY repair or project requires materials (e.g. hardware, lumber, fixtures, supplies), those are charged separately at retail cost. Your Good Dad will always let you know upfront what materials are needed and the estimated cost before purchasing anything — no surprises.
Yes. You can cancel or change your plan with at least 7 days notice before your first scheduled service appointment. No long-term contracts, no penalties — just let us know and we'll take care of it.
Not quite yet, but they're coming! We're currently rolling out monthly membership options that will give you recurring access to your Good Dad at a discounted rate. Stay tuned — or get in touch to be the first to know when they launch.
That's exactly what a Good Dad is for. Seriously — bring the whole list. Whether it's 3 things or 13, we'll work through it with you. Just book a session, share your list in the notes, and your Good Dad will come prepared and ready to knock it out.

🛡️ Safety & Trust

Yes. Every Good Dad professional completes our four-step vetting process before ever meeting a client: a personal interview, identity verification, criminal background check, and professional reference check. We take the safety and trust of our clients seriously.
Yes, all services are fully insured. In the unlikely event of any accidental damage during a home service, we've got you covered.
Your satisfaction matters to us. If a session doesn't meet your expectations, contact us within 48 hours and we'll work to make it right, whether that means a discounted follow-up session or another resolution.
Our Good Dads handle the everyday tasks — not large-scale jobs that require a licensed professional (major plumbing overhauls, electrical panel work, structural construction, and so on). If something like that comes up, we're happy to refer you to trusted, vetted companies we've personally worked with who share our high standards. Contact us for a referral.
